♬ Arch Enemy - Blood on Your Hands (Live, Bloodstock 2007)



2007년 그들의 새 앨범 Rise of The Tyrant의 첫 트랙으로 실린 Blood on Your Hands입니다. 형을 압도하는 기타실력을 가진 기타리스트 Christopher Amott의 귀환이 무엇보다 반갑습니다만, 팬이 찍은 이 비디오에 무엇보다도 놀라운 것은 그들의 라이브 실력입니다.

이미 Burning Tokyo 1999나 Live Apocalypse등의 라이브 앨범에서 그들의 진가는 뚜렷이 드러났지만 (특히 Live Apocalypse의 경우 비슷한 시기에 나온 Children of Bodom의 Chaos Ridden Years에 비해 엄청난 실력 차이를 보입니다.) 이렇게 막 찍은 비디오에서도 이들의 라이브는 흠잡을 곳이 없습니다. 장비 차이겠지만 사운드도 이렇게 깔끔하게 뽑아내는 것이 대단한데, 실제 앨범에서도 거의 차이가 없을 듯 합니다.

Wages of Sin (4집) 이후로 프론트우먼 Angela Gossow에게 과도한 초점이 맞춰지고 있는데, 실력있고 라이브도 뛰어나므로 이해합니다만 이들의 사운드 핵은 기타리스트인 Amott형제입니다. 이번 앨범 또한 무자비한 리프와 사람 잡는 솔로가 공존할지, 기대되네요.
